We are looking for a wide variety of content for print, online, and video/TV...
CONTENT DEADLINE FOR PRINT EDITION! MAY 29!
CONTENT SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED UNTIL JUNE 7.
KINDS OF CONTENT:
All must be produced by young people in Lebanon age 25 and under... and may include:
- print/text articles (roughly btwn 400 and 800 words)
- photos and graphics
- crossword puzzles (or other games)
- editorial cartoons (cartoons with an issue/social message)
- videos, and other multimedia
- ARABIC or ENGLISH
TOPICS:
We are looking for content on a variety of issues/topics affecting young people in Lebanon, related to the elections or not... whatever issue you care about!
- environmental issues
- political/elections issues (sectarianism, election reform, why Lebanon has no ballot, etc)
- legal/human rights issues (abuse, rights of domestic workers, rights of women to pass on their citizenship, gay/lesbian rights)
- youth issues (right to vote from 18, education, cost of university)
- employment/economic issues
- and more! What issue do YOU care about?!?
THE PROCESS:
All submissions that reach basic standards will go online... items selected for publishing in our print edition or highlighted online will receive a small cash award.
GET STARTED: Send us your idea. Be as detailed as possible about the issue you want to cover, the story/angle you will take, how long or big will it be (depending on the piece), and when you plan to have it done by.
