Web Manager/ICT technician for youth/citizen media project
(looking for one full-time manager and part-time contractors/assistants)

Tasks
- In charge of ongoing maintenance of the website and internal office network technical management
- Develop the key specifications for the implementation of the website using free/open source tools, and both oversee the web consultants and act as a key developer in the design/implementation of the website
- Will develop the key specifications for and oversee the implementation of the internal office network using all free/open source tools, including computer setup, all software installs and updates, server setup, PBX network (via user computers)
- Will train (or oversee trainings of) all participants in how to effectively use the computer setup and internal office network

Requirements
- Experience in website development and overseeing a team of developers, especially bilingual (Arabic/English) websites
- Experience in open source web tools (especially Drupal), and other free/open source software (Linux/Ubuntu, etc)
- Substantial coding experience, especially in PHP, MySQL, and Javascript
- Bilingual Arabic/English; ability to speak, read, and write effectively in Arabic and English
- Willingness to work flexible (and sometimes long) hours to meet development and publication deadlines
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools (primarily free and open source) to implement them in this project
- Willingness to commit to one year in a full-time capacity
- Have daily access to a computer and internet (home, school, internet café, etc)
- Trustworthy (must comply with all Ethical and Editorial Guidelines, in particular avoiding any plagiarism and dishonesty in writing or any work) and reliable (fulfills duties in a timely, consistent, and responsible way)
- Ability to work effectively while on a deadline
- Passionate about and committed to making an impact in Lebanon
 
Beneficial 
- Moderate reading abilities in French
- Prior experience working in civil society or other volunteer efforts
- Prior experience working in some media outlet (student, internship, etc), or other media production experience

Compensation: Competitive, according to experience
