Welcome to RootSpace! RootSpace is a non-profit organization in Lebanon dedicated to supporting and fostering sustainable social and economic development through innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
RootSpace is a cross-fertilization of three concepts: a co-working space, a professional development and training program for businesses and organizations, and a social entrepreneurship incubator.
The RootSpace office is a multi-use workspace that is set up to meet the needs of a variety of members and clients – innovators and entrepreneurs, organizations, groups, and startups – and fosters a working community rooted in cooperation, collaborative problem solving, social entrepreneurship, technology use, and sustainable development. Individuals and small groups can join the RootSpace community in order to do their own work by renting desks or small workspaces in an affordable, well-equipped, dynamic, collaborative, and rewarding environment. And they can benefit from the range of programs that RootSpace organizes (around organizational capacity building, web/media/social entrepreneurship, technology, and sustainable development).
RootSpace is committed to serving as a model for the values and principles it operates by, including social responsibility, inclusivity, effective/efficient/sustainable organizational management, and ethical business practices (such as transparency and accountability).
Furthermore, it strives to set the leading edge – through its own practices – for how these values are practically applied, and to extend these values to other businesses, organizations and the broader community by preparing online and offline modules, training sessions, and other outreach programs.
RootSpace is a great place to work for individuals, small groups, startups, non-profit and for-profit social entrepreneurship projects, and more, providing an innovation and implementation space fit for the times – an affordable space to dream up new ideas and solutions, discuss them with peers locally and globally, and then put them into action.
Most of all, this is a place for the locally engaged to be globally connected, and the globally engaged to be locally connected.
